Pulse — Gym PlannerThis Privacy Policy explains what data the Pulse — Gym Planner mobile application collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Pulse is built to be local-first: your training data lives on your device, and nothing leaves it unless you choose to enable an optional backup.
The Pulse — Gym Planner app (the “App”) is developed and published by Mykola Bohdan (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). This policy applies to the App as distributed on Google Play.
For any privacy question, contact us at dev@mbohdan.com.
The App is a personal workout and body-measurement tracker. The information below is created by you, for you. Unless you enable cloud backup (Section 4), all of it is stored only in a local database on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

The App does not collect location, contacts, microphone audio, advertising identifiers, or device identifiers, and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data you enter is used solely to provide the App’s features, including to:
All processing happens locally on your device. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than running the features you use.
The App offers an optional backup feature. It is off by default and only activates when you explicitly sign in and enable it.
Your use of Google services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. The App operates no backend server of our own. The only third-party services the App can interact with are listed below, and only as needed to deliver the feature you chose to use.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google Sign-In | Authenticate you for optional Drive backup | Email address, Google user ID |
| Google Drive API | Store / restore your backup in your own Drive | Backup file (your database + photos) |
| Google Play In-App Review | Show the native “rate this app” dialog | None collected by the App |
| Android system share | Let you share a workout/summary image via apps you pick | Only the image you choose to share |
We may disclose information if required to comply with a valid legal obligation, but since we hold no personal data on any server, there is generally nothing for us to disclose.
Your data is stored in the App’s private storage area on your device, protected by Android’s app sandbox. Any data transmitted for the optional backup is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) to Google. Because data is primarily kept on your device, you are encouraged to protect your device with a screen lock and to keep your operating system up to date.
You stay in control of your data at all times. You can remove it as follows:
We do not retain copies of your data on our side, because we do not operate servers that receive it. Local data is kept until you delete it; backups are kept in your Drive until you remove them.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us so it can be addressed.
Depending on your location (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Because your data is stored locally on your device and in your own Google Drive, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App and your Google account. For any additional request, contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if features change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or on the Google Play listing. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
